LAKE ARROW WAY

  • 1455 Ft2
  • 5 bedroom
  • 3 bathroom
Nestled in one of Calgary’s most distinguished lake communities, and situated on a quiet street backing onto green space, was a house that needed some TLC.  DSR was ready for the undertaking.  Lake Bonavista has so much to offer; mature trees, large lots, back alleys, easy access to anywhere in the city, including very close to downtown.  Of course, having a lake in the community with availability to swimming, sports and fun only two blocks away makes this home even more inviting. A bungalow with over 2700 sq ft of living space, this AMAZING house leaves little to be desired.

Our team completely stripped this house right down to the studs, creating a well designed open concept 1455 sq ft main floor. A couple key design changes, by Maria and our team, made this house even more efficient than before.  Taking down the interior walls that separated the living room, family room and extremely small galley style kitchen, allowed us to create a much larger and open kitchen concept with a huge island that is 10’ long and 4’ wide. The new Valor gas fireplace and spacious dining area help it become the ultimate family and entertaining area. Open living space lends itself beautifully to a large family room with media centre, a wonderful area for entertaining or for children to play, along with room that can be utilized as a study and/or formal living space.  After moving the front closet and utilizing that area to expand the ensuite it was a win-win.  A better use of space at the front entrance and a much larger ensuite with walk in shower!

All new windows, doors, plumbing, electrical, and insulation through out brought this 1970’s bungalow right up to date.  All topped up with an amazing basement. We added two oversized bedrooms with new Egress windows, along with a large bathroom with walk-in shower, modern wet bar, enormous entertainment area, flex room for a games or gym area, an office/craft room and completely finished laundry room with plenty of storage areas.

But it didn’t stop there, we added a new roof, soffit, fascia, and eavestrough, re-stained the fence all the way around the property, as well as new landscaping both front and back, including black mulch and rundle rock.  We painted the old brick a wonderful shade of grey, added a beautiful wood feature wall to the front façade (including wrapping the post in the same wood) all accentuated by the beautiful black house numbers, creating a welcoming curb appeal.
